The era of the Orphan Train is not widely known or discussed. However, the events that took place over 75 years between 1854 and 1930 affected hundreds of thousands of children as they were moved from poverty stricken cities to the countryside.
"Committing to a theater piece demands passion for the work and this subject absolutely commanded my attention," says Nancy Fox. "While we examine the well-intentioned efforts of the Children's Society and New York Foundling Home, we must remember the impact this placed upon the lives of so many children." |
